HUMAYUN'S TOMB  (INDIA -DELHI


Humayun's tomb, as the name suggests, is the last resting place of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. Situated in the Nizamuddin East region of Delhi, it is the first garden-tomb of the Indian subcontinent. This magnificent piece of architecture was built in 1569–70 by Humayun's chief patron Queen Bega Begum and is one of the few structures that used red sandstone on such a large scale at that time. Humayun's mausoleum design is a typical Mughal architecture with Persian influences and was conceived by the Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyath. Humayun's Tomb was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in the year 1993 due to its magnificent design and splendid history.

Delhi Zoo (India-Delhi)

Established in the year 1959, the National Zoological Park is spread over 176 acres. The zoo was built by the Indian Board of Wildlife in the capital after realizing the need for entertainment. The park was formally inaugurated by the Honorable Minister of Government of India, Shri Punjab Rao and was initially called Delhi Zoo. The park was given national status in 1982 and as a result it became known as National Zoological Park.
